Day 218 | Jeremiah 19:1–20:18; Daniel 1:1-21
Jeremiah warns Jerusalem of impending disaster because of their persistent wickedness and refusal to listen to God. As judgment comes through the Babylonian invasion, Daniel and his friends are swept into captivity. Despite being immersed in Babylonian culture and facing intense pressures to conform, Daniel remains steadfast, experiencing God's favor and wisdom. Through Daniel’s example, we see that even in hardship and exile, God demonstrates His sovereignty, uses difficult circumstances for greater purposes, and faithfully preserves those who honor Him.
