Day 170 | 2 Kings 13:1-11; 2 Kings 12:17-21; 2 Chronicles 24:23-27; 2 Kings 13:14-25

Today’s reading unfolds the haunting weight of legacy—both human and divine. Kings of Israel continue to follow the sinful path of Jeroboam, spreading idolatry long after his death. Joash of Judah starts well, repairing the temple under godly mentorship, but ends in ruin after turning from the Lord. In contrast, the prophet Elisha finishes faithfully, his impact so lasting that even his bones bring life. Yet through every failure, God’s covenant remains firm—merciful, gracious, and unwilling to completely forsake His people. This episode challenges us to examine our own legacy and remember: with God, it’s never too late to return.
