Day 203 | 2 Kings 20:1-11; Isaiah 38:1-8; 2 Chronicles 32:24-31; Isaiah 38:9-22; 2 Kings 20:12-19; Isaiah 39:1-8

Today’s reading gives us a deeply human portrait of King Hezekiah—his sincerity, his weakness, and his legacy. After being told by Isaiah that he would soon die, Hezekiah turns his face to the wall, weeps, and prays to the Lord. Moved by his prayer, God adds 15 years to his life. But what begins with tears and humility gradually gives way to pride. Hezekiah fails to honor God with his testimony and instead shows off his wealth to Babylon—setting the stage for future disaster. This episode reminds us that while God sees our tears and responds in compassion, He also examines our hearts. May we not waste the grace we’ve been given.
