Two kings make opposite choices in seeking counsel: one turns to a false god and receives a fatal answer, the other seeks the voice of a true prophet and receives life-saving guidance. Elijah boldly delivers judgment to a king who bypasses God for Baal, while Elisha’s faithful reputation earns him trust across national lines. As armies march into the wilderness and panic sets in, God miraculously provides water and victory—but the deeper lesson lies in whom we turn to for truth, and what people remember when they hear our name.
