Description

Day 213 | 2 Kings 23:1-20; 2 Chronicles 34:29-33; 2 Kings 23:21-28; 2 Chronicles 35:1-19; Nahum 1:1–3:19

In this powerful episode, King Josiah’s radical response to God’s Word takes center stage. After hearing the rediscovered Book of the Law, Josiah tears his clothes in sorrow and launches a sweeping national reform—destroying idols, cleansing the temple, removing pagan practices, and renewing the covenant. His heart is fully devoted to obeying the Lord, and his obedience inspires the people to turn back to God. Though Judah had long been steeped in rebellion, Josiah’s actions shine as a model of true repentance: conviction, action, and lasting transformation. Meanwhile, the warnings in Nahum remind us of God’s justice toward sin and His faithfulness to those who seek Him.
