Day 175 | Isaiah 8:1–11:16
In today’s reading, Isaiah continues to deliver messages of both judgment and hope. God warns His people not to think like the world and not to fear what the world fears. While Assyria is rising as God’s tool of discipline, a promise of redemption shines through: a child will be born, a Son will be given. Isaiah prophesies the coming of Jesus—Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace—who will reign with justice and righteousness. Though judgment is certain, God assures His people that a remnant will return. The line of David will not be cut off; a righteous branch is coming, and He will not disappoint.
