Day 81 | Deuteronomy 33:1–34:12; Joshua 1:1–2:24
As we transition from the Exodus Era into the Conquest Era, we witness Moses’ final blessing over Israel before his death on Mount Nebo (Deuteronomy 34). Though he was not allowed to enter the Promised Land, God shows him the land from afar, fulfilling the promise made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
With Joshua stepping into leadership, God commands him repeatedly to be strong and courageous, reminding him that obedience to His Word is key to success (Joshua 1). As Israel prepares to enter Jericho, Joshua sends two spies, leading to an encounter with Rahab, a prostitute who recognizes the power of God and helps them escape. Her faith and courage not only save her family but also place her in the lineage of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5).This passage reminds us that God is faithful, He prepares us for what’s ahead, and He redeems those who trust in Him, no matter their past.
