God calls attention to the unwavering obedience of the Rekabites—nomadic descendants who faithfully uphold the commands of their ancestor, even generations later. Through them, God delivers a sobering message to Judah, whose repeated disobedience and spiritual neglect stand in stark contrast. This chapter reminds us that God is not after rule-keeping for its own sake, but faithful hearts that listen and obey. Even the simplest command matters when it comes from the Lord.
