Day 251 | Daniel 6:1-28; Daniel 9:1-27; 2 Chronicles 36:22-23; Ezra 1:1-11; 1 Chronicles 3:17-19a
After seventy years of exile, God’s promise through Jeremiah is fulfilled. Daniel recognizes the time has come and turns to the Lord in prayer, pleading for God to do what He said He would do. In response, the Lord moves the heart of King Cyrus of Persia to decree that the Jews may return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. God stirs the leaders, the people, and even their neighbors to provide for the journey, proving once again that He alone opens doors no one can shut and is faithful to restore His people.
