Description

In this episode of Daily Devotionals for Nurses, Tola reminds us that we don’t have to wait for everything to be “just right” before we step out and act. Looking at Judges 6, we see Gideon threshing wheat in the winepress, not sitting idly or waiting for the perfect moment, but working with what he had, right where he was.

Tola shares how our daily actions speak louder than our words about what we truly believe. Nurses of Faith was created for this very reason to help us move beyond head knowledge and into an active, visible faith that shows up in how we live, serve, and lead.

Drawing from Proverbs 8:12, we are reminded that God gives us the knowledge of witty inventions, creative, God-given solutions for seemingly impossible situations. Just like Gideon, we can pray for wisdom and innovation, trusting that God will give us fresh strategies to move forward.

Tola also makes a powerful connection to Newton’s first law of motion: objects in motion tend to stay in motion. When we’re actively seeking growth, looking for ways to serve, and moving forward, it’s easier for God to redirect us. But when we remain still, stuck, or unwilling to move, it often takes much more effort to respond to His call.

The message is clear: start moving. Even if the steps are small, even if the situation feels hidden or imperfect , like Gideon keep working, keep believing, and keep showing up. God often chooses those already in motion to carry out His plans.

Key Scripture: Judges 6, Proverbs 8:12
