The One45 Lenox project is a proposed 34-story mixed-use development at 124 West 145th Street in Harlem. Initially designed with two towers housing a civil rights museum and the National Action Network headquarters, the plan has undergone significant revisions. Now, the project features three buildings, including two towers of 27 and 31 stories and an eight-story structure for senior and supportive housing. This updated design increases affordability, with 50% of the 915 units designated as affordable, addressing community concerns over displacement and housing access.
The project is currently navigating the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. A public hearing, scheduled for January 16, 2025, at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, will provide residents the chance to voice their opinions. Virtual participation will also be available via Zoom.
Community input has been central to shaping the development. Previous feedback highlighted worries about affordability, infrastructure strain, and gentrification. In response, developers increased the number of affordable units and adjusted the project’s scope to better align with local needs.
