~ Growing rice needs lots of work ~
この前東京に帰ってきたのですが、実家では東京でできない経験が色々できました。
そのうちの1つが、お米の種を植えたことです。
薄い箱のようなものに、お米の種をまき、その上に土をかぶせる、という作業をしました。
お米を食べるのは一瞬ですが、育てるのには何ヶ月も手間がかかっていて、
お米のありがたみがよくわかりました。
このまえ とうきょうに かえってきたのですが、
じっかでは とうきょうで できない けいけんが いろいろできました。
そのうちの ひとつが、おこめの たねを うえたことです。
うすい はこのようなものに、おこめの たねを まき、
そのうえに つちを かぶせる、という さぎょうをしました。
おこめを たべるのは いっしゅんですが、
そだてるのには なんかげつも てまが かかっていて、
おこめの ありがたみが よくわかりました。
A few these days ago I returned to Tokyo and was able to experience many things at my parents' house
that I could not do in Tokyo. One of them was planting rice seeds.
We planted rice seeds in a kind of thin box and covered them with soil.
Eating rice only takes a moment, but it takes months of work to grow it.
It made me realize how much I appreciate that.
