Tom Kellogg of Spectrum Cycles in rural Pennsylvania is THE guru of custom bicycle framebuilding. Spectrum was founded in 1982, and since then Tom has been producing some of the finest steel and titanium bikes in the world. Andy visited Tom's workshop - a gorgeous 185 year-old stone barn in rural Lehigh Township - back in September and had a long chat with Tom about the craft, while Tom showed him around the facility. Tom's frames have won World and National Championships since the 1970s, have seen duty in the Tour de France, and were even ridden by some of the legends of the sport (listen through to the end for his take on Lance and the doping culture in sports).
