
Named after one of the most influential African American publishers in American History, the John H. Johnson School of Communications is the place to be for anyone interested in stepping into the field of Communications. The size of the School of Communications affords students the opportunity to receive one-on-one training from faculty members, ready and willing to assist at any time. With the constantly changing dynamics in the communications field students are prepared for the evolution of technology and media. Departments within the School of Communications, includes Speech and Pathology, Radio Television & Film, and Journalism. Alumni of the John H. Johnson School of Communications includes Cynee Simpson on ABC’s News WJLA and many more. Students also receive hands on training through outside activities ranging from the college radio station to professional organizations.
