Diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) in 2013 and in remission since 2019, Gideon Amoah is one of the first patients in Wisconsin to receive Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT). PRRT is not a cure for NET. The aim of this therapy is to slow or stop progression of growth and decrease symptoms associated with the hormones released by the NET. Gideon says, "At least for me and my family PRRT has, and continues to deliver on its promise to "buy time".

Born in Ghana, West Africa Amoah has also lived and worked in Zimbabwe, Botswana and the United Kingdom. He currently resides in the United States with his family. Amoah has become a public advocate with multiple health organizations and a virtual coach for cancer patients. He credits God and his loving wife KL for helping him to live his dreams.
