So let's take the wayback machine even farther back to 1975 for our next George Foreman fight - he's just lost the heavyweight title to Muhammad Ali in a big of a surprising upset, and now is looking to make a comeback fifteen months later. His opponent is an ex-convict turned boxing tough man Ron Lyle, who himself had fought Ali for the title in the intervening months since the Rumble in the Jungle and lost by 11th round knockout (his second loss in a row, as he had lost his previous bout by unanimous decision to the man who would retire Foreman the first time, Jimmy Young, two years later).

No one can accuse George Foreman of taking on an easy opponent for his comeback fight after the Ali loss, because what happened when the two men got in the ring was something just short of manslaughter. Both men went down in the fight multiple times, and both showed a great deal of heart getting up after those knockdowns to keep going until an eye-popping finish that will have viewers wondering if the referee took the round off or went to run an errand instead of stopping the fight.

It's not boxing in the sense of the "sweet science" - more like back-alley plastic surgery toughman competitions - but it is a highly compelling heavyweight slugfest between two bad, bad men, and Rob and Butch are here to tell you all about it!
