Back to the era of bell-bottom jeans for a 1972 light heavyweight title bout on this week's Ring Magazine Fight of the Year. Foster, the champion, had won the title four years before by defeating Dick Tiger, and now was defending his unified (WBA, WBC, The Ring) title against the 1968 Gold Medal winner in the middleweight division, southpaw Chris Finnegan.

Foster was a light heavyweight legend, who held the belts in that division for a long six years - during which time he occasionally hopped up to heavyweight to challenge for the title at that level as well. His only two losses, up until the very end of his career, while doing so were to Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.

Truly, Foster is a forgotten great - but how good was Chris Finnegan, and did he manage to get over on Foster? Butch and Rob know the answers!
