For our fourth installment of our randomly-selected Ring Magazine Fights of the Year (1970-2021) the dice have selected for us a welterweight bout for the WBC belt between title holder Andre "The Beast" Berto and Victor "Vicious" Ortiz. Berto came in undefeated at 27-0 and making his sixth defense of the welterweight belt, while Ortiz had recently moved up from light welterweight and was carrying a couple blemishes on his record at 28-2-2 and was fighting for the first time for a major belt.
The fight would be a close one, in which both fighters hit the canvas... but who will lose and who will go on to defend that same WBC belt in the next fight against Floyd "Money" Mayweather?
Don't worry, Rob and Butch won't leave you hanging, they'll lay it all out for you in this podcast.
