This week I’m joined by Molonza Hayes, former college basketball player turned competitive CrossFitter and soldier in the US army. 

Molonza grew up a country boy just playing ball for the love of the sport and never had major intentions on pursuing it into the next level. A friends parent helped him see a path to play in college before he got into some trouble that changed plans for him. We get into how he dealt with the ups and downs of playing JUCCO ball before joining the military. 

Growing up his whole life as an athlete he never focused on his health or training before joining the military along that path he found CrossFit and started the course to being a pro athlete in the sport. Fresh off competing at The Fittest Experience Hayes talks about his favorite workouts and how he mentally approaches workouts that scared him just last year.  We take a deep dive into his commitment to being a representation of high level black athletes and what that means to him.
