Unless you’ve been living under a rock or have perfected the practice of
emotional distancing, you have probably been feeling some adverse
effects resulting from the extremely “toxic” and chaotic environment
currently assaulting our senses at every turn.
Our lives have been altered in ways that by any stretch of the
imagination do not approach normal! Unfortunately, the toxicity of the
culture around us can even seep into the church, which ideally should
stand out as an island of sanity in the midst of the chaotic and the
absurd. One thing is for sure, the kinds of stresses we are currently
experiencing are powerful catalysts capable of bringing out the best…or
the worst…in any of us!
