Description

This week on Movie Talk Roundtable, the boys are heading back Down Under for a rather unpleasant camping trip with 1978’s Long Weekend.

Directed by Colin Eggleston and starring John Hargreaves and Briony Behets, the film follows Peter and Marcia, a deeply unhappy married couple who decide that the best way to repair their crumbling relationship is to disappear into the Australian bush for a few days. Unfortunately, they spend most of the weekend arguing, drinking, shooting things and generally treating Mother Nature like absolute rubbish.

Before long, the local wildlife appears to have had enough.

Brandon returns to the roundtable as Jake, Pete and Brandon discuss murderous possums, zombie dugongs, reckless camping etiquette and whether the real monster is nature, marriage or Peter himself.
