This week on Movie Talk Roundtable, Jake and Pete are joined by Prince to take on Obsession from 2026.
Directed by Curry Barker and starring Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, and Cooper Tomlinson, Obsession is a low-budget horror flick about love, wishes, bad decisions, and what happens when you get exactly what you asked for.
The guys get into the movie’s Monkey’s Paw-style setup, the mystery of the One Wish Willow, Bear’s complete inability to communicate like a normal human being, and whether he’s actually the real villain of the story.
There’s also plenty of talk about cursed girlfriends, dead cats, piña coladas, terrible wish wording, and Prince’s ongoing attempt to explain "the male gaze."
Be careful what you wish for.
