Dr. William V. Flores is a nationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant with decades of leadership in higher education, government, and nonprofits. A former President of the University of Houston–Downtown, he has been honored as one of Time Magazine’s “Top 100 Outstanding Hispanic Leaders” and designated a “Point of Light” by President George H.W. Bush for his public service.

Dr. Flores serves on numerous nonprofit and civic boards and mentors emerging higher education leaders nationwide. His recent books include The Texas Experiment (Sage, 2024) and Nonprofit Management: Moving Your Nonprofit from Where It Is to Where You Want to Be (Kendall-Hunt, 2025).
