Listen

Description

This week, we welcome Gina Schumaker, a Board Member with the Alaska Center for FASD and a member of the Adult Leadership Committee of the FASD Changemakers International. We cover many topics in our conversation that we're sure listeners will relate to. Gina is a self-advocate for living with FASD and recently met with the representatives and senators in Juneau along with others from the Alaska Center for FASD. The Center also recently produced a short documentary that will be released Sept. 8, 2023, called Eight Magic Keys for Adults.
As this episode is released, Gina will be in New Orleans for two functions. At the first, she will be co-presenting to a gathering of nurse practitioners, educating them about FASD. Following this, Gina will be attending the Louisiana FASD Summit. If you would like Gina to present for your group, you can reach Gina by emailing her at ginainak@me.com or at gina@alaskacenterforfasd.org.

As always, please send us feedback on today's episode or any topics you would like covered on a future episode, by emailing livingwithfasdpodcast@gmail.com, or, if you're listening on Spotify, you can send an audio message by using the message button in your app.
Remember that none of us knew what we didn't know until we finally learned it. Thank you for joining us this week!
