Description

Kansas Citians recently voted against renewing a sales tax that would be used to renovate the Kansas City Chiefs stadium (Arrowhead) and to build a brand new stadium for the Kansas City Royals in the downtown area. The halfbaked plans for a downtown stadium left a bad taste in voters' mouths. Meanwhile, executives for both teams threatened to leave if they didn't get taxpayer money, causing a standoff between two billionaires and local taxpayers. Meredith, Ty and Jay dive into the final vote and what it means for sports teams looking for corporate welfare.
