Sports fans, buckle up, because this week was a lot. The Colts fired their GM after losing to a Titans team that hadn’t won a game all season, Maryland sent Mike Locksley packing, and the top of the college rankings looks like someone shook a snow globe. Miami is No. 1 for the first time since 2002, BYU is No. 2, and Texas went from No. 1 to No. 19 in two weeks. Alabama lost to Tennessee, Auburn beat Georgia, and Ohio State ended Indiana’s 22-game win streak. Meanwhile the NFC East went a combined 0-6-2 over two weeks, which is somehow a first in NFL history, and we will be roasting them lovingly.
This weekend we’re ready for all of it. The Steelers and Saints play the first regular-season NFL game ever in France, so yes, we’ll be doing croissant-based predictions. The Chiefs visit the Seahawks on Sunday night, the 49ers are now Super Bowl favorites at 6-0, and Ole Miss heads to Austin to take on a Texas team that needs a win badly. Pour a drink, grab a snack, and come argue with us. Strong opinions welcome, correct ones optional.
