In the final episode of Season One, Brit Stueven sits down with Tara Comstock — artist, hairstylist, mom of two, and one of those rare people whose presence makes others feel seen, known, and cared for.
At the debut of Not Til Now, Tara arrived early to support her husband, David, who was one of the evening's speakers. But before the show even began, an unexpected walk through an art exhibit in the lobby stirred something she hadn't felt in a very long time.
In this conversation, Tara shares her journey from small-town Illinois to life in Chicago, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, and Colorado. She opens up about perfectionism, faith, motherhood, adoption, creativity, and the ways life can slowly pull us away from parts of ourselves we once loved.
They also talk about the bathroom-floor prayers that helped shape her faith, the surprising connections between art and healing, the art room she created in her home, and why she signed up to study art therapy less than 24 hours after attending Not Til Now.
Most of all, they talk about the gentle ways God continues to call us back to ourselves. And how one small yes can end up changing far more than we ever imagined.
