Christians often have many misconceptions about the return of Christ, whether that be a secret rapture event, severe tribulation, or a general feeling of despair and anxiety: "Am I ready?" But Jesus teaches us here, that even though his return will come suddenly like a thief in the night, it is not something that should bring us fear. Rather, we are called to wait faithfully, knowing that his return is soon.
