Text: Ruth 2:1-23 | Speaker: Levi Bakerink | Description: In the next chapter of Ruth we are introduced to another main character, Boaz, "a worthy man of the clan of Elimelech," Naomi's deceased husband (2:1). Ruth just so happens to glean from his field, and the two meet. When Naomi hears about it she is overjoyed because he is a redeemer (2:20). As this story unfolds we learn more about the larger story that weaves together all of Scripture, as it is God's divine hand that guided Ruth and Boaz together, so that in his providence he might bring about the Redeemer of all mankind.
