Yet, the Bible shows us that Jesus suffered many things throughout his entire life—even when he was still a newborn. Not soon after the wise men leave, Joseph brings his family to Egypt to avoid the murderous rage of Herod. Even after the massacre is over, their plans change as they settle in Nazareth, the lowliest of places, and are considered outcasts in Jewish society. Yet God ordained all this to fulfill the prophetic plan of redemption through Jesus our Savior.
