Not Into the Nest

Our journey toward God is one of collaboration.
God doesn't do it for us. We don't do it entirely for ourselves. It's both.
God provides the food, but the bird still has to leave the nest. God provides the grace, but we still have to cooperate with it. God calls us forward, but we still have to take the step.
It's a dance. And God invites us to be His partner.
This is the heart of Catholic spirituality—it's not all God and it's not all us. It's both.
So today, don't wait for God to throw the food into your nest. Get up. Fly. Trust that He's already provided what you need.

Heavenly Father, you provide for our every need. You are always with us, always watching, always caring for us. Help us to trust in you. Help us to turn to you always. In Jesus' name. Amen.
