When He Wills It

One of the challenging parts of following Christ is trust. Or as the saints call it: abandonment to Divine Providence.

We trust that God wants the best for us, but in any given moment, we don't see the whole picture. We might desire to be somewhere else, to be different, to be a little further along in our lives.

Different job. Different home. Different season of life. Different circumstances.

But here's the reality and the comfort: If God wanted us somewhere else, we'd be somewhere else.

And when He wants us somewhere else, we'll be somewhere else.

That's trust. That's abandonment.

It doesn't mean we stop working, stop striving, stop pursuing what He's calling us toward. It means we hold our plans loosely, knowing that His timing is perfect even when it doesn't match ours.

Right now, you're exactly where God has you. Not as punishment. Not by accident. But because this is where He's forming you, teaching you, preparing you for what's next.

When He wills it, it will be done.

Let us pray.

Lord, You have a plan for each of our lives—a plan more wonderful than we can possibly imagine. Forgive us when we doubt You, when we put our trust in ourselves. Help us to abandon our lives to You. Increase our faith. Increase our trust. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Keep fighting the good fight. Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
