On this week’s program I want to talk about a new Bible story book for children that was just released last month. It’s titled The Just Love Story Bible, written by two ordained ministers in the Presbyterian Church USA. This book is designed for children ages 4 to 10 and contains 52 Bible stories with beautiful illustrations. But it’s a sad symptom of our times. It’s described as “social justice oriented” with a “diverse, non-patriarchal theology,” and the authors claim Jesus was a feminist. This book is just another agent of the apostasy the Bible predicts will surge as Christ’s coming draws near. The authors tell children some Bible stories are true and some are made up, they question the literal Resurrection, and they come to Scripture with what they call a “hermeneutic of suspicion.” This is an appalling apostasy directed at children, and we need to be armed with truth to stand against it.
In the second half, I answer your questions: Could the Antichrist come from North Africa or the Middle East since the Roman Empire extended beyond Europe? How should we counsel a mother struggling with fear about standing for her faith if her children were threatened during the Tribulation? And will we be trained in heaven for battle before returning with Christ at Armageddon?
Key Facts
* The Book: The Just Love Story Bible by two PCUSA ordained ministers (NYC pastor and seminary dean); ages 4–10; 52 stories (26 OT, 26 NT), 295 pages; described as “social justice oriented” with “diverse, non-patriarchal theology”
* Heretical Claims: Authors say some Bible stories true, some “made up but teach lessons”; question if Jonah literally happened; Jesus used Jonah for Resurrection parallel so denying it makes God a liar
* Resurrection Denial: Author says “it matters more that children know love never dies” than literal resurrection being true; Dr. Hitchcock counters: Resurrection is “citadel of Christianity”—Christianity rises or falls with it
* Hermeneutic of Suspicion: Authors admit they come to Bible doubting if events happened; Dr. Hitchcock: We come with submission and surrender, not suspicion; Bible is living/active, sharper than two-edged sword
* End-Times Apostasy Context: 2 Timothy 2:3—imposters/seducers grow worse as end draws near; Book of Jude warns against apostates; enemy coming after children like never before; leading edge of great coming apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
* What Parents Should Do: Teach children unedited Bible stories; take them to church believing God’s Word; live it out before them; model how to fail as Christian; 2 Timothy 3:14–17—Scripture is God-breathed, “still warm with breath of God”
* Q&A Topics: (1) Antichrist comes from reunited Roman Empire (Europe, North Africa, or Asia per Daniel 2, 7, 9:26); can’t be Muslim because declares himself God; (2) Mother’s fear about standing for faith if children threatened - Corrie ten Boom story: God gives “tickets of grace” when needed; (3) No battle training needed in Heaven - Jesus speaks word and destroys Armageddon armies

The End Times Timeline: God’s Eternal Plan Revealed
This small comprehensive book, The End Times Timeline provides believers with an accessible framework for understanding biblical prophecy. It traces God’s prophetic program from the Old Testament through the eternal state. What’s particularly noteworthy is how current events align with ancient predictions—Israel’s restoration, technological advances enabling global surveillance, and the geopolitical alignment of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38–39.
The timeline identifies key prophetic milestones: the Rapture preceding the Tribulation, the rise of Antichrist, the rebuilt Temple, and Christ’s Second Coming. While some debate the timing of particular events like the Gog-Magog War, the overall framework reflects solid Bible research. This resource serves as an excellent tool for both new believers seeking prophetic clarity and mature Christians desiring to understand their place in God’s unfolding plan.
