This week I share a good word on how He will carry you. There’s a kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix, and many of us are still hauling burdens God has already offered to carry. I want to encourage you to hand it over to Him today and let Him carry you, because you were never meant to be strong enough, you were meant to be carried.
Look What God Has Done

No Longer Defined by Your Past

Some of the most beautiful miracles aren’t the ones we can see—they happen quietly inside a heart.
When Lori reached out to us, she had recently prayed to receive Christ after watching one of Pastor Jimmy Evans’ messages online. But instead of writing with confidence, she wrote with tears. At 62 years old, Lori looked back over a lifetime of mistakes. Eight marriages. Adultery. Stealing. Words she wished she could take back. Even after trusting Jesus, she wondered, Could God really forgive someone like me?
Then she shared something that caught my attention. She said she now returns her shopping cart every time. She’s careful with her words. She notices how she treats people. Those may seem like little things, but they’re evidence of something much bigger.
God is changing her heart.
After losing both of her parents and later facing stage 3 colon cancer alone, Lori discovered that Jesus was the only One who would never leave her. Slowly, His love began replacing the person she used to be with the woman He is creating today.
Friends, maybe you needed to hear this today. The enemy wants us to believe we’re defined by our worst decisions. Jesus says we’re defined by His grace. If you’ve placed your faith in Christ, your past is no longer your identity. It may be part of your story, but it is no longer your future.
As Paul reminds us:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”—2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
If you’ve been carrying guilt long after God has offered forgiveness, today is a good day to lay it down. Nothing is wasted at the altar. Walk forward in the freedom Jesus purchased for you. Like Lori, you may already be seeing evidence that He’s making all things new.
