Faith Behind the Wheel

Kris didn’t need to be convinced that God is real—she had lived long enough to know His faithfulness. But this time, she needed something more than encouragement. She needed a miracle.
Kris has been part of the Tipping Point family since 2019. If you spend time in the comments, chances are you’ve seen her encouraging others with kindness, hope, and truth almost every single day. Long before sharing this testimony, she had already been faithfully pouring into the community.
For 15 years, Kris worked as a school bus driver, pulling the air brake over 50 times a day. Slowly, the wear and tear caught up with her. Her elbow began to fail her—pain unbearable, mobility decreasing. Doctors told her she needed to rest it for a long time. But resting meant stepping away from the job she loved.
The brace wasn’t helping anymore. The medication wasn’t touching the pain. Deep down, Kris knew only God could truly heal her. So she asked Him.
One Sunday at church, she stepped out in faith and asked for prayer. A woman gently held her arm like a baby, and together with her husband, they prayed in Jesus’ name for complete healing. It felt slightly better—but not fully healed.
The next week, Kris felt led to go back for prayer again.
As they prayed, warmth spread through her arm. When they finished, they asked, “How does it feel?”
Kris moved it around carefully.
No pain.
None.
Completely healed.
She removed the brace, stopped the medication, and returned to work—pulling that same air brake again and again without pain. And the pain never returned.
“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 30:17 (NLT)
Friends, don’t stop asking. Don’t stop believing. And if you’ve ever been encouraged by one of Kris’s faithful comments through the years, maybe today is a good day to encourage her back. We are celebrating her retirement after driving a school bus for 23 years! God is so good!
