This coming Sunday, Christians across the world celebrate Pentecost—the day God's Spirit came to indwell His people. What you probably don't know is the direct connection between Pentecost and the holiday Jews will celebrate this Thursday night. As the sun sets, something will happen all across Israel: Jewish families will stay up all night reading the Bible, decorate their homes with greenery and flowers, celebrate the moment God spoke from Mount Sinai, and read the story of Ruth—a Gentile woman who left everything to follow the God of Israel. The holiday is called Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks. Fifty days after Passover. Fifty days—pentēkostē in Greek. Shavuot and Pentecost are the same day. They always have been. At Sinai: fire, thunder, smoke, the voice of God, the earth shaking. At Pentecost: fire, wind, the sound of heaven, the voice of God through His people. At Sinai, God wrote His law on tablets of stone. At Pentecost, He wrote it on human hearts. At Sinai, three thousand died because of the golden calf. At Pentecost, three thousand were added to the church. If you love Yeshua's human family, Shavuot is not a foreign holiday. It is our holiday too. Chag Shavuot Sameach!
A Shelter for the Children of the Galilee
The Regba Clinic in Western Galilee has served vulnerable children for 51 years — and right now, kids who are healing from war trauma are doing so without a shelter. When rocket sirens sound, they scatter into hallways and parking lots, re-living the very terror they're trying to recover from. A certified safe room — blast-proof door, reinforced concrete, sealed ventilation — would change everything. Your gift to Tipping Point Ministries makes that possible. When your arms can't reach, your dollars can.
With a gift of any amount to Tipping Point Ministries — $25, $100, $1,000, $10,000, or more — you’ll help us continue sharing Bible prophecy and fund this shelter for the children of the Galilee.
