We’re making our way through the major events of the End Times, and we’ve come now to the Millennial Reign of Jesus—one of the most fascinating eras in all of Bible prophecy. Last week I defended the premillennial view that Jesus will return to earth and then set up His literal Thousand-Year Reign. Today I want to explore seven exciting truths about the conditions and characteristics of that future Millennium. The clearest picture of our future home is found in Revelation chapters 20–22, the final three chapters that mirror the first two chapters of Genesis—from Paradise lost to Paradise regained. This world that’s so upside down will one day be right side up when Jesus comes back as King of kings and Lord of lords. The Millennium is that thousand-year period between Christ’s return and the recreation of the New Heaven and New Earth—ten centuries of peace and prosperity under Christ’s authority.

Key Facts

* Pre-millennial View Defended: Jesus returns, THEN 1000-Year Reign begins; “1000 years” in Revelation 20:1–7 mentioned 6 times—literal, not symbolic; Millennium is between Christ’s return and recreation of New Heaven/Earth

* Seven Truths About Millennium: (1) Jesus reigns literally from throne of David in Jerusalem, accessible to all, (2) Satan bound in Abyss (Revelation 20:1–3)—no temptation like Genesis 1–2, (3) No war—Isaiah 2:3–4 fulfilled (swords into plowshares), (4) Astounding productivity—Amos 9: reaper overtaken by plowman, (5) Healing and health—Jeremiah 30:7; Isaiah 65: dying at 100 considered young/accursed; possible to live entire 1000 years like pre-Flood lifespans, (6) Overflowing joy—Isaiah 65:18–19: no weeping or crying, (7) Animal kingdom restored—Isaiah 11:6-9: wolf/lamb, leopard/goat, lion eats straw

* Glorified vs. Mortal Bodies: Believers raptured/resurrected have glorified bodies ruling with Christ; Tribulation survivors in mortal bodies repopulate earth, have children; at end, mortal bodies instantly transformed (Rapture-like event) to enter New Heaven/Earth

* Isaiah Wall at UN: UN Plaza Park (NYC) has wall inscribed with Isaiah 2:4—UN hasn’t fulfilled it, but Jesus will

* P.T. Barnum Story: “Happy Family” exhibit—lions, tigers, panthers with lamb; when asked about trouble, said “Apart from replenishing the lamb now and then, they get along”—shows we’re not in Millennium yet

* Donald Campbell Story: Dallas Seminary president told class he became “amillennialist”; students shocked; explained: reading Isaiah 11 after watching war on news, leaned back and said “Aw, Millennium!”—longing for that Kingdom

The End Times Timeline: God’s Eternal Plan Revealed

This small comprehensive book, The End Times Timeline provides believers with an accessible framework for understanding biblical prophecy. It traces God’s prophetic program from the Old Testament through the eternal state. What’s particularly noteworthy is how current events align with ancient predictions—Israel’s restoration, technological advances enabling global surveillance, and the geopolitical alignment of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38–39.

The timeline identifies key prophetic milestones: the Rapture preceding the Tribulation, the rise of Antichrist, the rebuilt Temple, and Christ’s Second Coming. While some debate the timing of particular events like the Gog-Magog War, the overall framework reflects solid Bible research. This resource serves as an excellent tool for both new believers seeking prophetic clarity and mature Christians desiring to understand their place in God’s unfolding plan.
