In this report from Jerusalem, I examine the seven most pervasive lies being spread about Israel's war with Hamas in Gaza, as documented by the International Legal Forum and urban warfare expert John Spencer from West Point Academy. These lies include false accusations of genocide, intentional targeting of civilians, war crimes based on casualty ratios, deliberate starvation, indiscriminate attacks on hospitals and schools, illegal occupation of Gaza, and violations of Geneva Conventions regarding prisoners.
Drawing from Spencer's expertise in urban warfare studies, I reveal the unprecedented challenges Israel faces: Hamas spent 20 years and billions of dollars preparing 300 to 400 miles of tunnels beneath every urban area, deliberately using civilians as human shields while neighboring Egypt refuses to allow Palestinian civilians to evacuate—something Spencer notes has never happened in any previous war. Despite these impossible conditions, Israel has implemented civilian harm mitigation measures that exceed what any military in history has done, including systematic evacuation warnings, facial recognition to avoid civilian casualties, and remote legal oversight of every attack.
The real tragedy is that Hamas systematically hijacks humanitarian aid, attacks crossing points, and weaponizes civilian suffering for propaganda purposes. Meanwhile, over 103,000 aid trucks carrying more than 2 million tons of supplies have entered Gaza, often exceeding pre-war levels. Each accusation against Israel distorts reality, ignores international law, and inverts basic morality.
