On this week’s program, I want to talk about an amazing recent archaeological discovery—the location of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah near the Dead Sea. Sodom is the city of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, which was catastrophically destroyed in judgment by God back in Genesis 19. These cities are mentioned about 50 times in the Bible—22 times after their destruction. A recent article in Israel 365 reports that Dr. Titus Kennedy, a field archaeologist and friend of mine, has uncovered compelling evidence that matches the Bible’s description of divine destruction from above. This is a monumental discovery—important for apologetics, proving the truth of the Bible and God’s character, but also important since Sodom and Gomorrah are often mentioned in Bible prophecy. In the second half of the program, I’ll answer subscriber questions about Ezekiel 38’s “hooks in the jaws,” when every knee will bow, and whether the 144,000 are really evangelists.
Key Facts
Discovery Location: SE shore Dead Sea, within day’s walk of Zoar; Dr. Titus Kennedy (Discovery Institute, Dallas Seminary) found mass charred houses, fires started from roofs (destruction from above), dead buried aboveground
Locating Zoar Key: Genesis 19:20–22: Lot fled Sodom to Zoar in one day; Madaba mosaic map (542 AD), Josephus, Eusebius all place Zoar on SE Dead Sea; Deuteronomy 34:3 confirms Zoar survived
Physical Evidence: Sulfur balls (golf-tennis ball sized) embedded in soil match Hebrew “gofrit.” Complete skeletons under collapsed tower—sudden catastrophe; cities never rebuilt (as Bible prophesied); 40,000–65,000 died
Why It Matters: Proves Bible truth; God’s prophetic warnings are not hollow—Isaiah 13:19, Jeremiah 49:18, 50:40 (Babylon destroyed like Sodom/Gomorrah); charred ruins

The End Times Timeline: God’s Eternal Plan Revealed
This small comprehensive book, The End Times Timeline provides believers with an accessible framework for understanding biblical prophecy. It traces God’s prophetic program from the Old Testament through the eternal state. What’s particularly noteworthy is how current events align with ancient predictions—Israel’s restoration, technological advances enabling global surveillance, and the geopolitical alignment of nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38–39.
The timeline identifies key prophetic milestones: the Rapture preceding the Tribulation, the rise of Antichrist, the rebuilt Temple, and Christ’s Second Coming. While some debate the timing of particular events like the Gog-Magog War, the overall framework reflects solid Bible research. This resource serves as an excellent tool for both new believers seeking prophetic clarity and mature Christians desiring to understand their place in God’s unfolding plan.
