This week I share a good word on the God who sees you. You may feel invisible, but you are never out of His sight. Just like Hagar in the wilderness, He’s already looking for you. Rest in that today, because you are known and loved by Him.
Look What God Has Done
Inspired by real praise reports from the Tipping Point community, these testimonies celebrate God’s faithfulness, answered prayers, and the miracles He is still doing today. We pray they encourage your faith and remind you that God is still at work.
Never Stop Praying for Your Prodigals
By Kari Smalley Gibson, TP Community Storyteller
If you’ve ever prayed for a prodigal, you know the ache words can hardly describe.
One of our Tipping Point family members, whom we’ll call Grace, carried that ache for more than twenty years.
Years earlier, God had miraculously healed her from a life-threatening illness and rekindled her walk with Him. She had seen His faithfulness before, so she never stopped believing He could do the impossible again.
But this miracle required waiting.
She faithfully prayed for her children and grandchildren, asking God not only to restore broken relationships but, even more importantly, to draw every one of them into a close relationship with Jesus.
There were years of silence. Holidays without hugs. Text messages that received no reply. Questions that had no answers.
She admits there were seasons when she felt hurt, confused, and couldn’t understand why nothing seemed to change.
Instead of giving up, she leaned in. She immersed herself in God’s Word, read books that strengthened her faith, attended a church support group for parents of prodigals, sought wise Christian encouragement, and faithfully brought her children before the Lord in prayer. Looking back now, she smiles and says something that touched my heart:
“But, of course… I was changing too.”
While she was praying for God to soften hearts, He was gently transforming hers—teaching forgiveness, patience, and complete trust in His timing.
Then came an unexpected breakthrough.
A chance encounter between one of her daughters and extended family opened a door no one could have planned. Little by little, conversations began again. Family gatherings followed. Hope quietly returned.
Not long afterward, Grace’s father passed away. On the morning of the funeral, she received a text from the daughter she had barely seen in years.
She was coming.
During the service, her daughter chose to sit beside her and held her mother’s hand the entire time.
Can you imagine?
After years of distance, God used one of life’s hardest moments to begin healing a broken relationship.
Since then, loving messages have been exchanged, letters have been written, and hope has replaced despair. The story isn’t finished—but God is clearly writing a beautiful new chapter.
Our Tipping Point family, if you’re praying for a prodigal son, daughter, grandchild, spouse, or someone you love dearly, please don’t give up. Keep praying. Stay rooted in God’s Word. Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you and stand with you in faith. Even when you can’t see Him working, God is moving in ways you may never know. Sometimes He’s preparing the prodigal. Sometimes He’s preparing us. Every prayer offered in faith matters, and our faithful Father is still in the business of bringing wandering hearts home. He’s a forgiving God!
