1 Corinthians 4:5 – “Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God” (NASB95).
2 Timothy 4:7–8 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing” (NASB95).
Revelation 22:12 – “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done” (NASB95).
In today’s episode, I continue my teaching on the Judgment Seat of Christ—the next event that will take place for believers after the Rapture. This judgment determines not where we spend eternity, but how we spend it. I address the question of whether rewards really matter, and I explain why seeking God’s approval through rewards is biblical, not mercenary. I then outline three categories of rewards: praise from the lips of Jesus Himself, privileges including five specific crowns mentioned in Scripture, and positions of authority in Christ’s Kingdom. The crowns include the Incorruptible Crown for self-discipline, the Crown of Life for faithful suffering, the Crown of Righteousness for those eagerly awaiting Christ’s return, the Crown of Glory for faithful pastors, and the Crown of Rejoicing for soul winners. Our lives today are training time for reigning time.
