Rick brings his mastery of Greek to illuminate harpazo—the word translated as rapture in Jerome’s Latin Vulgate. Used 12 times in the New Testament, it always describes something abrupt and sudden, representing a rescue operation “just in the nick of time” during a very dark moment in history. His insight into “those who are alive and remain” from 1 Thessalonians 4 reveals this describes spiritually engaged, vibrant believers—a faithful remnant, not just any Christians.
We explore the crucial difference between persecution (which Christians have always faced) versus Gods unprecedented wrath during the seven-year Tribulation. Rick describes our transformed bodies, the Judgment Seat of Christ occurring while Tribulation unfolds on earth, and how our current faithfulness determines our eternal assignments. We discuss how the Antichrist waits in the wings, restrained only by the Church’s presence, while technologies like AI prepare the world for his deceptive rule.
