Walker Bennett Hayes Jr. started college at Vanderbilt, graduated from Colorado, and earned his MBA from Michigan. He worked in the IT services industry for many years, specializing in software sales. Buzz later owned his own company in the vending machine industry. He ran cross country and played basketball and baseball at Clayton High School in Missouri. He played baseball at Vanderbilt.
