In today’s episode I talk about:
- Loving the aggressive nature of contact sports (football, lacrosse, hockey) but feeling totally out of place in locker room.
- Feeling different, isolated, misunderstood, even “broken.”
- Wishing I could just be reading a book or discussing the meaning of life… instead of experimenting with drugs or talking about messing around with girls.
- The deeply disturbing impact of witnessing pain & violence and it’s visceral effect on me.
- Realizing that my sensitivity was my gift and doubling down on it after a lifetime of downplaying it and not giving it the recognition it deserved.
