The final day of the transfer window saw a flurry of activity at Priestfield, with outgoings and incomings leaving the Gills with a refreshed squad, and some new faces for fans to meet as we look ahead to the weekend’s home game with Walsall.

Strikers Tom Nichols and Macauley Bonne departed for Mansfield and Cambridge, respectively, but their places in the squad were taken by Colombian Under-20 international Jorge Hurtado – on loan from Watford – and six-foot-five target man Josh Andrews, who arrived on a permanent deal from Birmingham City.

They joined permanent wingback signing Remeao Hutton and loan striker Josh Walker to freshen up the squad ahead of the Gills push for the playoffs in the remaining months of the season.

The pod discusses the new arrivals, bids farewell to the departing players, and looks ahead to the first match for Stephen Clemence’s new-look side, a home game against Walsall on Saturday.
