Hello Friends!
I am extremely disappointed with Democratic messaging. Part of the problem is that they keep trying to muscle in to online spaces where they’re never going to be welcome. Instead of doing that, they need to start using their considerable resources to support creators who produce rational and compassionate content.
Like most people, I’m sick and tired of receiving donation emails from the Democratic party.
“Can you help out with $20?”
“Can you help out with $10?”
“Can you help out with $5?”
It’s disgusting to get emails like this from entitled millionaires with ivy league degrees who also have the privilege of state funded healthcare. When they lose their elections, they’re all able to shrug, go back to their gated communities, and sit around all day writing emails.
“Hey… we almost got ‘em. How about sending me a buck, just a buck?”
Meanwhile, we the working class people of the United States are getting harassed and beaten by the violent and lawless Republicans. We’ve got men posing as law enforcement agents wearing masks and abducting children.
“Send me a buck!”
I understand that the United States political mechanism is designed to churn through a bunch of money. But it’s frankly infuriating when I go onto some oligarch owned social media site and I see some Democrat’s advertisement.
That means that the candidate who sent all those emails begging regular, hard-working people for money, turned around and sent that money to some hateful, lawless, conservative.
DEMOCRATS NEED TO STOP SUPPORTING REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED MEDIA!
At this point, it should be common knowledge that the whole media is owned by Republicans. That’s obvious in the narratives they spread, and it’s even more obvious in the narratives they bury.
These tech bro oligarchs know how to manipulate their algorithms so that no humanitarian message ever sees the light of day. Meanwhile, Democrats keep buying ads on these platforms because most of them are so old they don’t know how to attach a document to an email.
“I’ll just take your donations and send them straight to that guy who did a Nazi salute at the Republican convention.”
Are you kidding me?
It’s time to wake up and smell the Constitution burning.
Democrats need to accept that the modern media does not want them to win. But what would happen if Democrats pulled all their advertising from mainstream media?
I mean, we saw what happened with Jimmy Kimmel. The second people start canceling subscriptions, things change quick.
But what if we went a step further. What if instead of sending money to oligarchs, Democrats started sponsoring small substacks like mine? They can support this one for as little as $20 a year. I’m happy to sit down with them for an interview.
Look at this:
The replay will be sent to 18K people! There are football stadiums at mid-level universities who don’t have that many seats.
But don’t just support me, support all the other content creators out there. Every single one of them provides a much better return on your investment than supporting some evil tech bro oligarch who is already getting billions of dollars in government subsidies.
DON’T SEND THEM OUR DONATIONS TOO!
The best part of this is that if Democratic candidates started coming on these platforms, it would help them grow. We could create an entire media network that could actually compete with the constant brainwashing of the right.
Hey, it’s the digital age. Everybody has a microphone these days. We need a new strategy. You can’t just sit in your gated community and pay evil oligarchs to run your ads.
They don’t run those ads! They bury them, or they only show them to people who are going to vote for you anyway.
It’s time for a new strategy. At the very least, it’s time to stop insulting the hardworking people who contribute to campaigns by using that money to support the enemy of the people.
Get with the program and start supporting the small content creators who actually care about saving our democracy!
