MTG is continuing on her “redemption” tour and of course the conservative media is eating it up. She recently went on the news and admitted that once she started speaking out against the president, she started to feel as if her life were in danger.
She also apologized for having spent her entire political career contributing to the division and hostility within our country.
An apology is a good start, but as far as I’m concerned admitting you were wrong is the beginning of your work and not the end. After all, you don’t get to plead guilty and then get a pat on the back from all the people you victimized.
First, you have to pay your debt to society, and all former MAGA have such an enormous debt that nobody should be sending them any sort of financial support.
One of the most frustrating things I see happening right now is how the dishonest conservatives continue to try and blame liberals every time there is an act of political violence.
They’re doing this even though our current DOJ refuses to competently investigate anything that’s going on.
It’s only been a few months since the assassination of Melissa Hortman. Though her alleged killer has ties to MAGA, the right wing refuses to ever accept any accountability for their constant hate rhetoric.
I mean, we’ve seen this happen again and again. The right wing showed up at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. They built a gallows. They chanted “Hang Mike Pence.” They murdered a police officer. Yet, they insist that they are not violent.
The right wing covers themselves in AR-15 pins. They refuse to pass any restrictions on the right of mentally ill people to own military grade weapons. Yet, they insist that they’re not violent.
The right wing calls members of the left “weak” and “snowflakes.” Yet the moment there is an act of political violence, they start frothing at the mouth about how terrified they are of all the left wing, dominant “Alpha males” who allegedly torment their every waking moment.
There are so many contradictions that it feels like building a fortress out of dark matter. Yet, somehow it remains standing. If you go to one of the conservative owned web pages that aggregates my work (without providing payment), you’ll find hundreds of comments from terrified right wingers who are afraid of the power of their left wing adversaries who only want to give them free healthcare.
It makes no sense.
So, it’s valuable that MTG has started to use her platform to allege that she only started to receive death threats when she began to hold MAGA accountable.
MAGA kills. That’s what they do.
The ironic part is that the radicalized right will always fabricate claims of liberals attacking liberals even though they don’t have any evidence of it. But the moment conservatives start attacking other conservatives, they find it completely implausible that one conservative will attack another.
This is what they seriously try to claim even though we see conservatives turn on each other with animalistic ferocity all the time. Just think back to a few months ago when Narcan Leon got into a fight with the Nepo baby tyrant and claimed he was on the Epstein list.
It’s starting to look like that might be the one true thing Narcan Leon ever said.
The fact is that there’s a growing concern that conservatives will eat members of their own if they prove not to be “conservative” enough. Some conservatives who called for the release of the Epstein files have even been assassinated.

I still don’t trust MTG. I don’t think she deserves any accolades. Liars don’t turn over a new leaf, they just find a new master. What seems to be happening is that the evil oligarchs that run everything from the shadows have figured out their guy is toast. He can’t outrun the Epstein scandal, and now all the rats are fleeing a sinking ship.
Meanwhile, the nearly equally corrupt Democrats will be standing there with open arms eager to welcome “reformed” liars into their “big tent” even as they refuse to make room for progressives.
We can’t allow that either.
The first step is emphasizing the message that it’s the right wing that’s guilty of political violence. If you eliminate right wing violence, you eliminate virtually all violence. MTG did as much as admit that.
The second step is putting “reformed” republicans to work. They can go out there and advocate for universal healthcare and the restoration of reproductive healthcare rights. If they refuse to do that, they aren’t interested in redemption. They’re only trying to finish the job of transforming the DNC into the GOP (and that program is about 75% loaded already).
Those of us who are still interested in forging a better world for our children can’t fall into this trap. It’s time for us to call out the Republicans for their addiction to political violence. It’s time for us to demand transparent investigations into all politically motivated assassinations and “assassinations.” It’s time to hold the evildoers accountable rather than quietly let them off the hook while innocent parties take all the blame.
MTG said it, the Republicans are violent. It has to end. Political violence has no place in a free and fair society. The conservatives should be ashamed of themselves.
