I always consider it a great privilege when Marlon Weems and Arturo Dominguez stop by. I know them both from their work on Medium, and their insight always helps me get a better sense of what’s happening in the world. It’s like we’re all climbing the same pyramid but from other sides. We can meet at the top and talk about what we saw on the way up.
I continue to work on this concept of changing our cultural reaction to white supremacy. There are too many people who have been indoctrinated just to ignore white supremacists as if they’ll go away.
I’ll let you in on a secret: that doesn’t work.
In this conversation, we talk about new ways to activate white people and get them involved in this fight. At some point every American citizen has to recognize we have to defeat white supremacy before it destroys us.
