Charis and Lo Yost are the owners and day to day operators of the first authentic Bagel Shop to grace this city in living / any memory and they are doing it with serious style and quality. The varied offerings at Bear’s Bagels both embrace tradition and break convention with classic boiled bagels and out of this world sandwiches and bialys.
We do this interview Newlywed Game style with Tim and Kevin talking with Charis (pronounce Carrots - without the T) first and Jordan picking up the conversation with Lo a couple days later.
In both interviews we cover the evolution of careers and perspectives on food but also the work of transforming dreams into shared goals and visions - finally culminating in…surprise surprise…the usual challenges and more hard work!
We really enjoyed the conversation and hope it provides a reminder to our community of the real people and possibilities that will always make up our growing city of Hilliard.
