Description

Part of my training as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner & Trainer is to be well versed in guiding someone along their timeline — past, present and future. When exploring the past this can include before birth, past lifetimes, and even generational lineage. When casting out into the future we can place ourselves in tomorrow, next month or even 50 years from now on that front porch rocking chair thinking about the good ole days.

Lately, on a personal level, I’ve been more skeptical of putting so much pressure on the future after uncovering this deep pattern of believing that “everything will be okay when _______.” As someone who loves dreaming about and planning for the future, I also recognize it as a form of escapism when things get challenging or life isn’t unfolding at the pace in which I had planned for…

In an attempt to rewire this urge to live out in the future, I’ve been trying something different where I allow myself to go there - but then ask myself how I can embody it now. How can I BE as I am becoming that future version of myself?

In this episode I unpack the phrase “I can’t wait to see how this unfolds” on a visual and metaphorical level and explore different ways we can interact with timelines and get inspiration from the future while being fully present to our now.

This is an exercise in trust. A practice of waiting for the avocado to ripen.

With Love,

J
